There are particular customs and celebrations in specific communities along with designs surrounding particular customs and celebrations, like birthday cakes, that bring insight into community. By studying the specific, we can then begin to see the universal as we explore the two central questions posed by designIVspace – What unifies us as humans? What does it mean to be human?
